Chrissy’s Notes provides personalized online ELA support for students in grades 5–8. Students build essential reading and writing skills through structured programs, appropriately leveled assignments, and individual teacher feedback.
Everything is completed online, giving students focused support without another regularly scheduled tutoring appointment.
1. Tell Me About Your Child
Complete the Student Inquiry Form to share your child’s current needs and goals. I will review your responses and contact you by email with the next steps.
2. Complete an Initial ELA Assessment
Your child completes an initial assessment so I can identify strengths, areas for growth, and the appropriate program and starting level.
3. Begin Your Child’s ELA Program
Your child works independently through a structured term program. Assignments are matched to their skill level and may vary in complexity and support, so students receive the right level of challenge rather than identical work.
4. Receive Feedback & Track Progress
I personally review your child’s work, provide targeted feedback, and monitor patterns in their reading and writing to guide continued instruction.
Parents receive written progress updates and an end-of-term summary with strengths, areas for continued growth, and recommended next steps.
Independent work matters. Students should complete assignments without AI-generated answers so that feedback and progress observations accurately reflect their own skills.
For Parents
Communication is simple and entirely online, with no required parent meetings. Questions are always welcome by email, and messages are answered within 1–2 business days, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.
